We left Florida the 3rd week of February and went to Terlingua Texas for a week to visit our dear friend Cynta We did a workaway here years ago and became good friends.

We ended up with the flu andbelieve it was the dreaded coronavirus, but still enjoyed our visit.

I you have seen my photos of the last time we were in Terlingua you will notice a few things have been completed and a few new projects added …

The beautiful entrance into Cynta’s private sanctuary has been finished.

  

New area where Cynta and her friends gather.

This beautiful stenciling was done on one half of a wall by Cyntia’s niece, Cyntia.  Believe it or not this chair is hiding the compost pile under the cushion and is made of adobe.

This is a new section leading to a wonderful bench where Cynta and Baxter, the wonder dog, sit at night to look out at Big Bend National Park and the stars.

We missed them within 1 hour of leaving Terlingua, but we will return.

On March 1st , we started headed to Kanab, Utah to visit our other friends at The Cowboy Bunkhouse.  We did some hiking to some of our old favorite place and a few new places.

JoAnne and Jeff brought us on a 60 mile expedition.  Jeff has a new all wheel drive truck and TRULY enjoyed the bumpy dirt road.  We headed up to a section of the Grand Canyon few see.  Most people only see it by rafting but we saw it from the top. Can you beleive this view of the Colorado River?

Look closely to see a few people sitting and enjoying the spectacular view, some rafters way down below in the second pictures and of course the outhouse with the world’s greatest view.

 

We visited our favorite slot canyon called Buckskin Gulch.  It is still just as beautiful as we remembered.

 

We enjoyed our visit with Jeff and JoAnne and hope to visit them again real soon.

On March 7th we headed out to our next workaway in the San Francisco area.  On the way there we stopped off at Painted Desert – Petrified Forest National Park

The landscape was amazing.

It was a quick stop but very nice.
