It’s been 2 weeks since we retired and we can’t believe how busy we’ve been. The house sold with only minor issues, we’ve packed and had all our stuff picked up by the shipping company. Our stuff still hasn’t been delivered yet and we’re getting a bit miffed about that. Well, a bit more than miffed, let’s call it full on hellfire pissed off. We’re getting tired of wearing the same 4 pairs of pants and same shoes for the last 8 days. In addition, we can’t get our NC drivers license or register our cars because like everything else, the necessary documents are being held in limbo by the moving company. The latest lie, I mean “estimate”, about delivering our stuff is sometime between Monday and next spring.

Robin had her first adventure on the rope course at the Greensboro Science Center. She’s black and blue under her arms and inside her thighs. If she were brought to the hospital now, I’m sure I’d be questioned about spousal abuse. Robin considers these bruises to be battle wounds.

In about another week we’ll begin our cross country drive for our first workaway engagement at the Cowboy Bunkhouse in Kanab UT.

Update: Our stuff arrived and we began the un-packing process. It was surprising how much stuff we ended up bringing with us despite our efforts to downsize. A few more trips to Salvation Army and a few bags in storage and we were finally down to an almost reasonable level. Once we unpacked, we then re-packed for our trip to Utah. We still have too much stuff but will use this experience to identify what is really needed so we can pack more sparingly for Aruba and Panama this fall. Now it’s off to Utah!!
